Poker is a gambling game where players try to make the best hand out of five cards. The player who makes the highest hand wins the pot. While poker has many variations, it is usually played with a standard pack of 52 cards.<\/p>\n
Players start by putting in a small amount of cash, often called an ante. Before the cards are dealt, the dealer will assign values to the chips. These values vary by game, but are generally based on the stakes involved.<\/p>\n

Each round of betting continues until all but one player folds. In the event of a tie, the high card breaks the tie. A high card can also break a tie when multiple people have the same type of hand.<\/p>\n
