Betting on a hand is typically done in clockwise order, with each player having one of three options: (1) call (match), (2) raise (increase), or (3) fold. Saying “raise” adds more money to the betting pool and gives you a better chance of winning.
If you raise, other players will go around in a circle and choose to either “call” or “fold” your new bet. This is how the game works, but remember: always call if you want to play it safe and not lose any chips!
